Four graded sizes turned from ash, a paler and more even wood than walnut, so a set matches more closely. They nest for storage and are the right size for salt, nuts, rings and keys respectively, though nobody has to use them that way.
Ash is open-grained. Oil darkens it slightly and it will take on colour from spices over the years.
