Two shapes cut from granite left over by a stonemason on Bornholm, honed smooth and drilled for a single taper. The ring is decorative; the cone holds the candle. Because the stone is an offcut, the grain and speckle differ from piece to piece.
Granite is heavy and does not tip. It also scratches a wooden table if dragged, so the base is felted.
