A quarter-disc cut from marble, bonded to a flat base that slides under the last book. At 2.4 kg it holds a full shelf of hardbacks without moving. Sold singly; two make a pair.
Marble is a soft stone. It stains with oil and etches with anything acidic, and the green variety has veins that run through the block, so no two quarters share a pattern.
