The one object in the range that is genuinely hand-built rather than thrown or cast. Coils of clay are pressed together and the joins left visible as ridges; the glaze is made from the ash of the beech the kiln burns, which is why the colour runs from grey-green to near black across a single pot.
Twelve are made at a time and no two match. The photographs show one of them, not yours.
